Orthopaedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, and Spine Surgery
 Dr. Gill is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in complex and minimally invasive
spine surgery of the neck and back including athletic injuries of the spine.
Dr. Gill is a graduate of the Seven-Year Accelerated Combined B.A./M.D. Program at Boston University School of Medicine,
and he completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University Of Virginia School Of Medicine. During his residency, he was awarded The
Leonard Marmor Surgical Arthritis Foundation Award for Outstanding Resident.
Dr. Gill served fellowships in Spine Surgery at Emory University Spine Center and in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at Steadman Hawkins Clinic in
Vail. During his fellowship, he assisted in the care of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. He has also done additional training in minimally invasive spine surgery with Dr. Chad Prusmack, neurosurgeon for the Denver Broncos. He currently is the Head Team Physician for the U.S. Adaptive
Ski Team, and he has provided medical coverage for the U.S. Pro Cycling Championships and the Greenville
Drive minor league baseball team. Dr. Gill is also involved with the medical care for the Ford Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Kona, Hawaii

Dr. Gill is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and he is a member of the North American Spine Society,
American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has published numerous book chapters and
scientific articles in sports medicine, spine, and orthopaedic journals, and is an invited presenter at the American Orthopaedic Society for
Sports Medicine meetings for spine injuries in sports. Dr. Gill has also presented at international and national meetings including the International Society
of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine in New Zealand where he garnered the Albert Trillat award.
Dr Gill is actively involved in research and education to improve the care of spine disorders and injuries by utilizing both non-surgical and surgical
methods. He is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at Clemson University where he is researching biologic disc replacement.
